Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis

Our natural environment is full of amazing events. Some people give scientific reasons behind such incidents, some consider them to be divine events, but only natural reasons are hidden behind these events. This type of event is an event in which it occurs in the form of bright clouds of light over both the Poles of the Earth.  

The event that happens at Earth's North Pole is called Aurora Borealis and the event that happens at the South Pole is called Aurora Australis. Aurora means morning, borealis means north and austalis means south. In both of these incidents, aurorae, the sunspots that appear in the middle of the night, look like strangely multicolored fireworks. 

Both these types of events happen in the Earth's atmosphere. Just a few days ago, a green light was seen in the sky of America and Canada, which was seen in the Earth's magnetic field for many hours, due to which there is a crack in the magnetic field which is a normal event.  

This magnetic field protects our Earth from solar storms coming from the Sun. Such incidents are rare occurrences event.

Strange Geomagnetic Storm :

When strong solar winds emerge from the cracks of the magnetic field, then a strange kind of geomagnetic storm is formed, due to which the phenomenon of aurora is visible in the sky. The cracks formed in magnetic region is called Co-rotating Interaction Region (CIR). The co-rotating interaction regions are large plasma structures formed in the low and mid latitudes of the heliosphere.  

This phenomenon is activated when fastest slow-moving air currents interact with each other. The area around the Sun in which the Sun's magnetic field and solar winds are there is called heliosphere. Just as coronal mass ejections occur, co-rotating interaction regions also move toward Earth, producing shockwaves and compressed magnetic fields that cause stormy weather in space. This year this incident happened in the first week of July.

Harmful Causes Of Solar Storm :

Scientists told that there is nothing to panic. This is a common phenomenon. This event saves our earth from the storms coming from the sun. These cracks open and close quickly, but sometimes can remain open for several hours.

Scientists have done Geological research from time to time on this phenomenon. He told that just as the windows of our houses are opened when there is a normal storm and when the storm leaves, our house is saved, but most of the things in the house get spoilt.  

In the same way, when a solar storm comes from the Sun, our earth does not suffer much, but magnetic shield of the Earth gets spoilt. 

When solar storms hit our earth, the energy released from them causes problems in satellite, radio communication power systems. The incident that has been seen this time has not caused any damage,and the sight of beautiful light was definitely seen.
